Search Engine Optimization - The Beginning

When i first started working on search engine optimization, i had no idea what this thing means, and it was the first time i have ever heard about it when it was suggested to me. I started by downloading some guides and books and asking around. Many of my colleagues at that time thought that they are the ultimate experts, and that search engine optimization is only about link building and stuffing the site with keywords and a text that looks like some commands for a machine.

The contradiction and redundancy of information made me feel confused... I asked around, and a friend of mine told me that he had a certificate from an institution called search engine college. The courses and lessons are so organized, so i started to understand the concept based on scientific facts.

Day after day, things started to change, and the results of doing the white hat SEO started to show up. Only after that, people became more curious about knowing the real basics of SEO, not what they think SEO is all about.

We agreed on a number of rules, but the key ones are:
  1. Never have a spam or duplicate content on your site.
  2. Don't do anything that you wouldn't have done if there were no search engines. (This one is useful whenever you are confused about having or not having an element or keyword in the page).
I think that's enough for today :)

Happy holidays everyone, and see you soon enshallah :)

  2. Wow, cool post. I'd like to write like this too - taking time and real hard work to make a great article... but I put things off too much and never seem to get started. Thanks though. SEO Packages
